Guiding you to resources in Higher Education
Dr Adam Gardner,

Workshop: 1 1/2 hours
Empowerment, Enhancement, Enrichment
The workshop would give a brief introduction to the Resource Guide project, demonstration of several key resources and time for participants to explore their guides and resources at their own pace. The workshop would be rounded off with a general question and answer session and an opportunity for participants to provide feedback to inform the future direction of the project.
The workshop will empower the learner and enhance the subject by raising their awareness of resources in their subject area by introducing them to a single easily digestible guide.
The Resource Guide project is a JISC initiative offering a subject-based overview of the key resources that are available to all in the higher education sector. Each Resource Guide has been compiled by an Adviser, a subject specialist, who, in consultation with members of their particular subject community, has selected, described and provided links to key resources within their subject area. The subject guides cover seven areas - arts & humanities; geography and the environment; health and life sciences; physical sciences; engineering, maths and computing; social sciences; hospitality, leisure, sport and tourism.
