Convergence & Continuity
The Higher Education Funding Councils have funded the development of a number of resources via JISC and the LTSN, designed to support lecturers and librarians in their delivery of eLiteracy and information skills training.
Support includes free paper and Web-based guides to key electronic information resources; virtual training in the form of teach yourself tutorials on the web; interactive and customisable information skills units for use in VLEs; details of current practice in the sector; development projects that aim to foster good practice in teaching and learning.
How are these resources being used? Do they work well within taught courses, library training and virtual learning environments? How could they be improved?
What has the impact of these resources been? What does evaluation reveal? Have they helped raise the levels of eLiteracy in UK higher and further education?
The Round Table will enable these services to give updates on latest developments, but more importantly will enable the community to feed back stories of their impact and use. What should the next steps be?
